Take a chance on God, because he was certain about YOU.

all-the-other-urls-are-taken asked: Hi :) I think I messaged you a couple months back about New Wine, I was in Thirst as well? Anyway, I was just wondering if you're coming this year. Hope you're doing well :) x

Hi yeah I still remember! Freya is it? :) Unfortunately no :’( but the girl I’ve been going with the past 2 years is going for half the week so I can tell her to keep an eye out for you, if you’re going that is? God bless :) x

Early this year, I had one of those dreams that you can’t control. I was walking through a forest at sunset, following a winding path. Parallel to the path were words burnt into the forest ground. They read “girl”, “hurt”, “lied to” and finally, “2 Corinthians 3:17”. I had no idea what it meant, what God was trying to say to me. I hadn’t even read the book of Corinthians nor knew what it was about, but I trusted in Him that I would find out eventually. Sure, the interpretation isn’t relevant, but seeing this on my dashboard made my eyes bulge. I’ve really been letting God slip out of my life lately.. there are over a 1000 verses to choose from, and 2 Corinthians 3:17 just happened to be that one. I shouldn’t have to read a specific verse to remember God, I need to start seeing Him in everything I do.

all-the-other-urls-are-taken asked: Hi :) I saw your post about New Wine, and I was at the N&E one in Thirst too! Don't know if I saw you at any point, just thought I'd let you know. Are you going next year? :)

Oh wow hi! That’s awesome, i probably did see you but didn’t know at the time. Unfortunately not, the n&e dates are the exact same ones as another christian holiday that i’m going to *cry*. I’m so gutted, are you going? I’ve scrolled through your blog, and genuinely, if you want someone to to talk to or pray with i’m here. Do you have twitter? :) x

New Wine 2012

In the summer holidays, I went to the New Wine N&E Summer Conference with my best friend’s family. If you don’t already know what it is, it’s a week-long christian camp in the UK that caters for all ages. It was our first year in the oldest youth group, Thirst, and we spent the week growing closer to God along with 300 other teens. For me, youth at church is pretty basic and casual; my relationship with God only majorly started to grow once I went to christian holidays. If you haven’t already been to one, I strongly recommend it.

I learnt so much throughout the week and i’m really looking forward to passing on the stories I heard and the messages I learnt. I wrote a tonne during the seminars, so if you see the title “New Wine Message”, go ahead and read it. It might just get you thinking.

God bless. He loves you so much.

It’s been a while..

I don’t have a clue what happened. I guess schoolwork and other things got in my way from posting..

But that doesn’t mean I haven’t learnt and gained so much since march.

I can’t wait to start sharing these stories and praying with you.

God bless.

So many signs.

Do you ever see those coincidences, where something that happened to you earlier in the day is brought up later in a completely different situation? It may just be coincidence.. But I am constantly returning to twitter and the burdens throughout my day are answered through Tumblr. Crazy, huh? Amazing, huh?

God Bless You. He loves you so so so much.

Non-Christian Friends

I share a major part of my life with 1 christian bestfriend, and 3 others. Me and my christian bestfriend are trying to evangelise to them at every chance. I guess some don’t appreciate it, and we find out our bestfriends are slating not only us, but our faith, behind our backs.

So i’m asking for you wisdom. Your guidance. Your help.

What do we do? And how do we approach them?

We both don’t want to lose them, but we’re not sure how to get around it. Sure, teen girls argue all the time. They come, they go, they move on. But i’m not too keen on losing my current bestfriends, no matter what the future holds.

Please pray for us.

"What should I give up for Lent?"

I hear so many people asking “What should I give up for Lent?” but I never here anyone saying “What should I take up for Lent?”. Sure, giving up chocolate or crisps will help you lose weight. But what if you want your every decision to be based on God?

I’m still working on my whole new years resolution on being addicted on God. I have a post about that somewhere on my blog, if you’re curious.

It takes 6 week to create a habit. Lent? Around 6 weeks. The perfect time to create a habit of something.

Me? Oh i’m giving up social networking sites for Lent. They take up so much of my time, time that I could be using on God. What am I taking up for Lent? Reading the Bible every single day; I’m going to make time for God.

So I guess i’m suggesting to make a habit of God and do what I’m doing. Yeah it’s a few hours before Lent starts (UK time) and maybe you’ve read this a week into Lent already, doesn’t mean it’s too late to join me. I’ll be checking notifications, news and all for a minimum amount of time on Saturdays. It’s my first year giving up something so much of my daily life, next year I hope to go all the way.

That means you won’t get a post from me for a while, unless I’ve learnt something from God that i’m so desperate to share, until Saturday!

Have a beautiful easter.

He’s the first one I talk to when I wake up in the morning and the last one I talk to before I close my eyes at night. He’s the reason behind my smile. He’s the one who sees the best in me, while others only see the worst.  He’s the one who was always there for me when everyone left and is the one who tells me “I love you” everyday. No I’m not talking about a silly guy, I’m talking about God.

So it’s been a while..

I’ve got caught up in school, friends, growing up, life, I guess. Instead of getting caught up in Christianity, the Bible, God, Jesus.

Lord, remind me to stay on YOUR track.
